A long time ago, well around 1977, the same year "The King" rode his last porcelain ride. A shark and an alligator met under a strange moon, they then made sweet love next to an old cypress stump deep in the swamp. The spawn of this event (half shark and half alligator) was called Kimo, due to the green glow that radiated from him. See the old stump was behind a nuclear dump site. As Kimo aged he became more humanoid. He started to draw and create images that he had never seen before. Life was not easy in the swamp for young Kimo as he did not seem to fit in. It was like his mind was on a different groove than the rest of his surroundings.

One day the Lizard King came to Kimo and said you are not one of us anymore. Lizard King told young Kimo that he must leave and head forth in the real world. So Kimo packed his belongings and left the only home he knew. As Kimo set forth on this new path there were many lessons to be learned and most were learned the hard way. As Kimo learned the hard lessons of life he would meet people that would show him the path he should be on.

Along the way Kimo started to notice that people had pictures all over their bodies. Some of the pictures looked like the art that he had done in the swamp. This was very intriguing to the young artist. In his journey he went to some of his friends and they introduced him to some people in the Tattoo and Piercing Industry. Body Piercing came along and the new wave of ideas were boundless. It was here Kimo met a friend that was medical personnel in the military that had become a body piercer. This friend taught Kimo safety and the medical aspect then began the training in the art of body piercing. Body Piercing was fun for Kimo but was just a step stone into getting into a shop to learn the art of tattooing.

The training and the patience this plan worked out and thru the grape vine there was a tale of a guy not far from the swamp looking for someone. So Kimo took what he knew and went to see the Fat Rat Man. Everything went well. The shop was not the cleanest but none the less it was a shop. The story goes that it was sometime around 1995-1996 when all this went down. Kimo stayed with this shop until it was sold to another. After this Kimo wondered around to a few shops to try and learn all that he could about the art of tattooing. The places that would give the young reptilian a chance were not the best. Most of the time was spent learning what not to to do and cutting through the bullshit.

After a couple years of this Kimo knew there was more knowledge out there so once again Kimo packed his belongings and pulled his boot laces tight. It was time to see if he was going anywhere in the Art of Tattooing. During his travels he found a shop that was known for doing good and consistent work.
